Very Versatile Meatballs

These meatballs are perfect for meatball subs, spaghetti & even cocktail meatballs.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Gore's ground beef
  • ½ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup diced onion (~1 small onion)
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Shape into meatballs & place on a cookie sheet (don’t let them touch).
  • Bake 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

Make a double or triple batch, freeze extras and reheat for a quick dinner!
Tip: to give meatballs more Italian flavor, use Italian bread crumbs or a teaspoon of Italian seasoning.

Mediterranean Braised Beef

You and your family will love this sweet and savory beef roast!

Ingredients
  

  • 2½ - 3 lbs Gore's boneless chuck roast
  • ¼ cup All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 small onions (halved & sliced)
  • 4 medium shallots (sliced)
  • ¼ cup pitted dates (chopped)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • cup water
  • cup vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Lightly coat chuck roast with flour.
  • Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat until hot. Brown pot roast in oil, remove.
  • Add water & vinegar to Dutch oven, cook and stir until brown bits attached to pan are dissolved.
  • Return chuck roast.
  • Add onions, shallots, dates, salt & pepper, bring to a boil.
  • Cover tightly and cook in oven 2-2 ½ hours (or until roast is fork tender).
  • Remove from oven, keep warm.
  • Cook liquid & onion/shallot mix over medium-high heat to desired consistency.
  • Carve roast and serve with onion/shallot sauce.

Cheddar Sausage Balls

This awesomely simple appetizer is great by itself or with your favorite dips!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Gore's sausage (mild, sage, or hot)
  • 1 cup Gore's sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix all ingredients in large bowl. 
  • Form into meatball size balls and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Best to eat while warm.

Braised Spanish Pork Chops

The Gore's thick cut pork chops make this meal delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Gore’s Pork Chops (approximately 5 thick cut chops)
  • 1 tbsp fat
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3-4 cups hot boiled rice

Instructions
 

  • Brown Gore’s Pork Chops slowly on both sides in fat in heavy skillet.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Sauté onion in same skillet.
  • Add Pork Chops, tomatoes, seasonings.
  • Cover & Simmer 45 minutes till tender.
  • Remove Pork Chops.
  • Thicken tomato mixture w/ flour (mixed to a smooth paste with ¼ cup cold water).
  • Boil tomato/flour mixture 2-3 minutes-stirring constantly. 
  • Place rice in center of platter, arrange Pork Chops over and pour sauce over dish.
